The problem with most eLearning

Most eLearning is built by assembling components. A slide template here, a stock character there, a quiz built into a tool someone bought three years ago. The result looks exactly like what it is: a module made from parts that don’t quite fit together. Learners notice. They disengage. They click through.

We build differently. Every project starts with what the learner needs to understand and works backwards from there — through story, design, and interaction that earns attention rather than demanding it.

Our process

A typical eLearning project with us moves through four stages:

Discovery

We learn the subject, the audience, and the context. What do learners already know? What do they need to be able to do differently afterwards? What’s the environment they’ll take this in — desktop, mobile, a noisy shopfloor? This shapes everything.

Storyboard

Before any design or build, we write a full storyboard: every screen, every line of voiceover, every interaction decision. This is where subject matter experts review content accuracy and where we agree on the experience before committing to build. Changes at this stage cost an afternoon. Changes at build stage cost a week.

Design and build

Design and build happen together, not sequentially. Visual design informs the interaction design informs the content. The result is a module where the look and the learning are the same thing, not layered on top of each other.

Review and delivery

We build in revision rounds and deliver a fully tested, LMS-ready package. SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, or xAPI — whichever your platform needs. If you run into issues after delivery, we’re still here.

What we don’t build

Template libraries dressed up as courses. Forty-slide modules with a Next button as the only interaction. Courses that start with “Welcome to this module.” Assessments where you can pass by guessing.

LMS compatibility

We deliver to any LMS that supports SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, or xAPI (Tin Can). That includes Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors, Moodle, Docebo, 360Learning, TalentLMS, Saba, LearnUpon, and most others. If you have a specific platform, tell us and we’ll confirm before we start.

Timelines

A standard 20-minute eLearning module typically takes 8–12 weeks from kick-off to delivery, depending on the complexity of content and the speed of client review. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the start — not an optimistic one that slips every week.
